When I established Safe Corner Psychology Services, I always believed that finding the right people to join the team should never be rushed. Beyond clinical skills and experience, it is equally important that each psychologist who joins Safe Corner shares the same values, which is providing a space where clients feel welcomed, respected, understood, and genuinely cared for.
With this in mind, I am very excited to welcome Lynn Ng, Clinical Psychologist, to the Safe Corner Psychology team.
My first impression of Lynn was that she is someone who is calm, composed, and quietly confident. She has a gentle presence and is naturally observant, someone who takes the time to listen, understand, and reflect before responding. These qualities stood out to me, as I believe therapy is not just about providing strategies, but also about creating a safe relationship where clients feel truly seen and heard.
Lynn brings with her many years of clinical experience supporting children, adolescents, and adults across a range of settings. She works with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation difficulties, life transitions, relationship and attachment challenges, and neurodivergence. Lynn also has experience conducting psychological assessments, including cognitive, educational, and ADHD assessments.
Lynn's therapeutic approach is thoughtful and tailored to each individual. Lynn draws from evidence-based approaches including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Schema Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and psychodynamic approaches. She values understanding each person beyond their symptoms, taking into account their life experiences, relationships, culture, identity, and individual strengths.
What I appreciate most about Lynn is her quiet thoughtfulness and genuine curiosity about people. She is someone who naturally creates space for others, which is such an important quality in our work. Her commitment to providing inclusive, respectful, and compassionate care makes her a wonderful addition to Safe Corner Psychology.
I am truly grateful to have Lynn join our little team and look forward to seeing the positive impact she will have on the individuals and families who engage with us.
Lynn currently has after-school appointments available and accepts clients from 6 years old through to adulthood. I know these appointment times can be especially helpful for children, teenagers, and families juggling busy school and work schedules. If you feel that Lynn may be the right fit for you or your child, I warmly welcome you to contact Safe Corner Psychology to book an appointment with her.
