In my therapy sessions, I’ll work to solve current problems and improve positive thinking and behaviour. I will help you “re-frame” your reactions and provide you with valuable tools to cope with life’s obstacles.

DIAGNOSTIC ASSESSMENT

The Autism Spectrum Disorder Diagnostic process will involve the following:

  • A parent interview

  • Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition

  • Questionnaires completed by both parents and educator

  • Cognitive assessment (depending on your child's age and presentation)

The following are assessments that can be completed by Safe Corner Psychology:

  • Wechsler Preschool & Primary Scale of Intelligence - Fourth Edition (WPPSI-IV) 

  • Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children, Fifth Edition (WISC-V)

  • Wechsler Adult Intelligence Scale - Fourth Edition (WAIS-IV)

  • Wechsler Individual Achievement Test -Third Edition (WIAT-III)

EARLY INTERVENTION

Early Intervention is usually offered to children presenting with some developmental delays and/or with behavioural challenges. Sessions typically focus on providing parents with strategies to manage difficult behaviours. Depending on the age of the child, sessions will also focus on building their social skills, emotional awareness and improve their regulation skills.
